In social media, Columy announced that eFootball would cease service in Russia and Belarus as of 15 June 2026.

At present, Colomé has not yet given an official explanation for the suspension, thanks only to the two players for their support over the years and makes it clear that the change applies only to Russia and Belarus, without prejudice to other regions.
In recent years, it has not been uncommon for games companies to reduce or completely stop their operations in Russia and Belarus. As early as March 2022, Mojang and Supercell, creators of My World, set the game off the Russian and Belarusian app stores, and Rovio, an angry bird developer, soon removed the game from both regions. Even “Big Dream Go” went down at the same time.

This may be related to the platform restrictions introduced by Google after the interruption of Russian payments in 2022. Google Play suspended its settlement system in Russia and prevented in-sale, subscription and application payments.
At the same time, in recent years Russia has been strengthening its regulation of games and web platforms. Following the 2024 ban on Discord, in December last year Roblox was restricted by the Russian authorities on charges related to extremism and LGBT-related elements.
Interestingly, Belarus also introduced policies on online games and gambling advertising earlier this year. As a result, in general, the playing environment in these areas has become more and more stringent, making it difficult to operate an open-box system such as eFootball.

For eFootball, Russian and Belarusian players now have less than a month before they stop. Collème has not yet disclosed whether it will provide options for account relocation, compensation or any alternative area visit before the official end of service.
