TikTok Shop worked with Royal Mail in the United Kingdom to create a new logistics alliance with 200,000 vendors connected to the National Distribution Network

TikTok Shop, the short video electrician platform, has officially announced a strategic partnership with Royal Mail, the British postal giant, who will be the first logistics partner in the British market. It marks a further shift from a content-driven to a full-chain power provider, where the seller will have direct access to the national distribution network of Royal Mail, including one-stop solutions such as door-to-door pick-up, delivery point delivery and pick-up services.

TikTok Shop ‘ s Logistics Upgrade Direct-to-Electrotech Point: In the past, sellers relied on third-party couriers, with inefficient performance and a high rate of refunds (8 per cent on average in the United Kingdom). Through an alliance with Royal Mail, TikTok Shop sellers have seamless access to its over 14,000 delivery points and door-to-door services covering all of England. The head of Royal Mail’s operations, Martin Krupa, said: “We are excited about the innovative energy of TikTok Shop, a partnership that will provide a reliable back-up for 200,000 British sellers and help them to move from social content to professional electronics. “Logistics is the last `last kilometre’ of the electrician, and working with Royal Mail will allow our sellers to focus on creative content rather than distribution challenges.”

Royal Mail, a British “national postal” that handles over 1 billion parcels each year, is digitizing at an accelerated rate: the API interface was launched in 2024 to support the integration of electric power platforms. This cooperation is an extension of TikTok’s “Project Cover”: The plan aims to strengthen European logistics through local partners, similar to its South-East Asian Association with Evri. According to official data, more than 200,000 local British vendors are now based in TikTok Shop, a partnership designed to provide smoother and more reliable end-to-end distribution support to these micro-entrepreneurs and to assist in the efficient transformation of “virtual” goods from the video “grass” to the “grassing” below the line.

At a time when the size of the British electricity market is expected to surpass £200 billion by 2025, this not only strengthens TikTok’s localized layout, but also injects digital dynamism into Royal Mail, and it is expected that the first year of collaboration will address over 5 million orders and drive the platform GMV (total merchandise transactions) to increase by more than 15 per cent.
